Yoga Isn’t Just Exercise—It’s an 8- Fold Path to Self-Realization
Yoga used to be a simple and sacred practice meant to uplift the mind, body, and spirit. But it has been completely transformed over the centuries. The sage Maharishi Patanjali, considered the “father of yoga,” codified this philosophy in the Yoga Darshan, a foundational text of yoga. He laid down a roadmap for achieving physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. Yoga began as a spiritual practice and has evolved into a kind of exercise.
Despite these trends, there’s a growing movement to reclaim the true spirit of yoga. Many yogis emphasize the importance of this holistic approach, integrating meditation, breathing exercises, and ethical principles into their practice. In that movement, this e-book is my effort to add another drop to the ocean.
